A different kind of museum.
The Podkrušnohorské Technical Museum is situated in the area of the former Julius III deep mine. It is more an open-air mining museum (skanzen) with many technical relics than a real museum. The museum tries to show the history of mining and coal processing in the central area of the Northern-Bohemian Brown-Coal Basin in the most attractive way. Visitors can also learn more about other production branches typical for the region.
